what is hill country comicon doing about coronavirus?

Ensuring the safety of all our fans and exhibitors is our top priority, and we are following the suggestions of CDC, US, and state public health guidelines as they develop around the COVID-19 virus. Please see full details here.

who needs a ticket?

All attendees six-years-old and up need a ticket to enter Hill Country Comicon.  We recommend all children under 18 must attend with an adult, and all children under 13 must have an adult with them while attending Hill Country Comicon.

what is the refund policy?

Tickets and Badges are non-refundable. For the safety of all in attendance at the show, if you are feeling ill with COVID-like symptoms in the days leading up to the event, please reach out to info@hillcountrycc.com so we can work with you to monitor the situation based on CDC and local guidelines in place at that time.

is there parking at the convention center?

You will find ample parking in the surrounding parking lots along Castell Ave and Garden Street.  Additional street parking in the surrounding areas is also available. In addition, the Elks Lodge across Seguin Street has paid parking available.

is there a security check?

Yes, there is. We have put in place a bag check to ensure no weapons are brought into the convention center. We will have directional signs along with staff on hand should you have any questions. Please note: We DO NOT hold any items that are not allowed at the show for pick up later.

where are entry points?

All badge/wristband holders will use the Main, General Admission entrance.

If you park in the Convention Center parking area, please look for directional signage on entrance points.  Rear Entrance (Castell Ave side) will only allow re-admittance for those already with admission wristbands.

is there a dress code?

Yes. In keeping with our family-friendly atmosphere, and for health and safety reasons, HCC enforces a dress code. Proper attire must be worn at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear. Clothing with rude, vulgar, or offensive language or graphics is not permitted at any time. Admission to HCC may be denied if clothing is deemed by HCC management to be inappropriate.

can i wear a costume?

Absolutely! Hill Country Comicon encourages costumes and cosplay.  Please make sure, though, your costume follows our costume and cosplay policy.

Attendees who do not follow to these guidelines may be required to modify their costumes, refused entry, or asked to leave.

what are the food options at the show?

We will have some amazing food options for HCC Year 4.  Grouchy Mamas will be handling our concession food in the convention center, while we’re bringing some amazing New Braunfels food trucks in the Garden Street parking lot.  We will have Cajun on the Geaux with their award winning Cajun cuisine, Wholly Smokezz bringing their amazing BBQ and Pop Smoke Coffee will be keeping us energized with their hot and cold brew drinks! There will be designated areas designed for resting and eating. We’ll be adhering to the guidelines provided by the convention center and health authorities that are appropriate per the situation at the time of the event. 

if i bring my own item with me, will a guest sign it?

Typically, yes, but not always. You would need to ask each guest individually.

how do i receive my badge and merchandise that i ordered online?

General Admission orders placed online must be picked up at the event in the designated Online Sales section at the registration area in the Convention Center. For pick up, you will need a printed copy of the order confirmation or a copy of the confirmation email on your smart phone.

what if i lose my badge/wristband?

Badges/wristbands that are lost, stolen or damaged cannot be replaced.  Please take care of your badge/wristband–it is your only valid entry into the event.
